I was invited on a weekend backpacking trip and I wanted to go but had none of the equipment. I came to the gear library. I was fully equipped with almost new, high-quality backpacking gear that I needed. Backpack, tent, 20 degree bag, and sleeping pad. This place rocks! What a great resource to help people explore outdoor interests!!!

I stopped by one day knowing nothing about the place, thinking I was going to have a regular thrifting experience, then found out I could rent stuff out free of charge, and was blown away. Fast forward a couple days, the family’s in town, and we want to go snowshoeing, but have no snowshoes. We rented a couple pairs from the gear library and took off up coal creek road in red stone, and we had an amazing time thanks to this place! Super kind and helpful employee as well, would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Gear Library is an incredible resource. The mission of making outdoor recreation accessible to everyone is huge. I borrowed a really nice tent, camp stove, sleeping pad
, and more at no cost. I also got some nice free climbing shoes for free! Highly recommend!

Gear Library is the BEST place I never knew existed. Kyle worked with us in getting everything we needed for the perfect weekend, all for free (with a tip, of course). We were set up with a Thule bike hitch, mountain bike, helmet, and frisbee… but don’t let that stop you! EVERYTHING you could need for a weekend of adventuring is found at Gear Library.

Great service and very kind employees. I have borrowed from the gear library for the past three years and they always have a great inventory and they are understanding if you need more time on an item as long as you ask.
