Ein sehr unscheinbarer Pub ein Stück vom Strand in Seal Beach, aber der Laden hat eine tolle Atmosphäre und hat mir den besten Burger in meinem zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt in Kalifornien geboten.

It was Labor Day, our final day with our cousins. We took a stroll down Main Street and my sister was hungry! Let's go in here, she says! Perfect. We ordered like we haven't eaten in days. Chicken wings, potato skins, calamari, French dip, smoked salmon. Beers of course, for me and the hubbie.

Doggo friend too 🙂

Quick and polite service. Screens airing the Dodgers game. Good seating on the hightops. Good times with good company. We couldn't ask for more!

I am working out of town and find this place on a Thursday night. They advertise Thursday Night Football on big screens, so I choose to come here since no Hotel has Prime Video. I arrive about 15 minutes after the game starts and the bar is full (TNF in December). I get seated at a high table right in front of an 80" screen and think "score!" Right after I order I get asked if I am staying for trivia... no clue what that means, so I respond I am there for dinner and to watch the game. Turns out, they interrupt Thursday Night Football with Trivia Night and they start badgering me for the table I am at. The hostess puts a paper cup on my table, which I guess means open season on harassing me for my spot.

The waitress that served me was awesome.

Who in the world interrupts Thursday Night Football on Prime Video in December for trivia night?

Who badgers a paying customer, interrupting their dinner and the game they are clearly watching after seating them at that table

O'Malley's On Main is a cool spot to stop by for a drink and bite to eat. I went during a trivia night and the atmosphere was fun. I didn't participate as I was late, but I would return to give it a try.

The Reuben I got was okay and the fries were delicious. They were out of the drinks I was going to try but the cider I ended up with was solid.

Overall, It was a nice night out with some fun trivia.

Besides being in a prime location, this place has GREAT service and a friendly atmosphere! I haven't been to too many places that offer free samples of beer. The beer prices are fair and there was a decent variety. The food is actually really good also and I wish I could have been able to try everything, especially the desserts. The sandwiches, especially the French Dip were pretty good and the side options were fantastically well done. Would recommend!

Very nice pour, great service and good food. Parking is a hassle but once you are there, take your time and enjoy the feel, friends and food.

Update Brunch

The con here was the service. Not sure if this is a hard shift to man or just an off day but we had a bit of a struggle.

That part done I will say we will definitely be back.

The whiskey chicken boxty was incredible. Filling, but a great blend of flavors. I will definitely be back for the dinner chicken after this.

Our group had other items all flavorful that hit all the right points. Add to that a great Irish coffee and the day was well started.

O’Malleys is a great Irish pub with warm, cozy seating with a warm fireplace. You can sit by the windows and see the people walking through seal beach Main Street.

The food is good and we had a corn beef sandwich which was big enough to share.
The fries were crispy and good.
The music was good and the drinks were delicious.

The service was excellent.

There is great outdoor seating in the back of the restaurant.
While you are sitting outside in the garden in back …look up.
You will see a house on top which is a rental. Very interesting…

It’s not their fault but on a Thursday it gets crazy busy for their trivia at 7pm. Unfortunately it’s so loud that you can’t hear the trivia master at all throughout the place. People are talking & not listening. Ideally the phone responses should have the question written on the layout so that you don’t have to strain your hearing to listen.
100% service effort though, they were attentive & on the ball all night
