Cook's is a Great Local Store to Wilkes County, NC! They have just about everything you could look for in a Sporting Goods Store. Their Store and Bike Shop is Excellent with Nice and Friendly Staff always ready to help.

My wife bought $150 pair of shoes that turned out to be the wrong size.
She wore them maybe 30 minutes. She took them back two days after the purchase date with the receipt. The lady said they couldn't take them back because she could tell “they have been worn”. Never shopping here again.

For bike repair, you need to CALL first. They only repair certain brand bikes. I took mine in just to have the chain fixed and they don't work on my brand, how ridiculous, a chain is a chain.

Use caution in using them for your sports team stores. Half of my order is useless as a long sleeve medium shirt fits like a small but the biggest issue is that we ordered a hoodie ($47) which is not a hoodie, it’s actually a long sleeve shirt with a hood. I was told that I should have know it wasn’t a hoodie (even though that’s exactly what the description said it was) by the type of material that was listed in the description. I was offered to pay for another hoodie (I’m assuming at a discounted price of still $36) to get what I should have received in the first place. Needless to say I am spending that money with another company to get the hoodie we should have received in the first place.

Purchased some sandal slides as shoes to wear inside my home (recommended by a podiatrist to help with plantar fasciitis). Wore them for about an hour and determined they were a size too small; seeing as the sandals were $60, I kept the receipt and tag with hopes that I might exchange them for one size larger. Came back 2 days after I purchased the sandals and was told, “…we can’t take them back because they have been worn. We can’t resell them.”

This was my first time inside Cooks in 19 years, and I am reminded why. Overpriced, and heaven forbid you try your $60 slides for an hour.

Folks are pretty nice though.

It's a nice place. The only thing I have a problem with is the prices. But the people are very nice. I will continue to shop there when I can.

Every single danging time I take my bike to this place I receive a brand new bike back. They are fast and trustworthy. They mastered the art of making my cheap GT bike be quiet and steady down Warriors Creek.
