Peaceful relaxation. You could hear water in the beginning around 10 am by 11 or 12 noon everyone's loudspeakers or JBL speakers were jamming out tunes mostly spanish songs I only recognized yo necessito over and over again. High volumes so never heard the water after the 1st 30 to 45 mins. But water is nice.

We love Fort de Soto!! We've been going there, for years. The fee is $5, per vehicle. We even stayed there, over night (in our Blazer)for my 40th. Birthday. We had a blast. Unfortunately, they close the park, at dusk now.?the fishing pier, may still stay open, not really sure.‍♀️ We always go to the South beach(left) the North side,(right) is ALWAYS busier, but check it out. There's a gift shop & an awesome fort. And, a picnic area. Which we've never checked out. There are several paths, to take a walk on, which is probably why we got a little lost. Lol. But, we were thrilled, to find this little beach area, to watch dolphin.?There were so many, I couldn't keep up, but I did try. There were at least, 10.

the northern part of the park Fort De Soto is very quiet and private equipped with grills and public bathrooms there are tables for picnicks and large trees that ensure a pleasant shade,very interesting also as a fishing area when here is not allowed to swim,a wild part of the park to discover

Enjoyed a bicycle ride in DeSoto Park and surrounding communities while doing the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office ride and run with the Stars. Beautiful day and scenery.

Beautiful Florida Park that combines open beach and grassy picnic area. It's $5 to get in per car. Picnic shelters are very spacious and have grill, but no electricity.

This is such a beautiful location. The water, the wind, the smell of salt in the air. I have been coming to this location my entire life, and it never gets old. Fort Desoto Island is just a wonderful place to spend time. We launched the kayaks from arrow head park and just explored the beautiful scenery. We swam and relaxed and just enjoyed life!

Beautiful beaches. Never crowded. Crystal clear warm water. Plenty of shells and sand dollars. One of my favorite beaches. There are places to rent kayaks and a snack bar located here. Bathrooms and picnic tables with grills. Outdoor showers to rinse off.
