One of the best places to take your little ones. we had three children under 7, and there was something for all of them. they really enjoyed their adventures looking at the littlest things. The details were excellent.

We went around Halloween time so we could also take a pumpkin home and the kids loved picking their own.

Food was very nice and reasonably priced. You may need to take some food for fussy children as there were no chips available.

The indoor play area was amazing and very well designed, very safe and not chaotic at all.

Overall a lovely place to visit.

Took my 3 year old at the weekend in October, It was busy but definitely not overcrowded.
Great Halloween decorations and interactive characters spread throughout the park.
Food and drink was relatively good value for money.
So many different themed outdoor play areas to visit such as a maze, pirates, spiders and farmyard to name a few.
The indoor “play hive” area was absolutely awesome despite the fact that all my child wanted to do was bounce on the trampoline. It is large, spacious with multiple levels for kids to explore.

Well worth driving up from the midlands in my opinion.

Lovely day out walking round seeing the lights, make sure you wrap up warm for the Forrest walk , it can get quite windy .

The hive play section is good for small kids up to big kids , feeding the gorilla the bananas is good fun!

We absolutely loved this venue! What a brilliant day out - but families with beige only food consumers please note there are no chips or fries in any of the cafes or restaurants here, in hindsight we should have packed a picnic for our beige scranners - however the Pizzas are phenomenal here very nice indeed ... we also would have loved a side of fries to go-with, BBQ food looked amazing ? prices were reasonable & the play areas were immaculate & awesome for kids as well as grown ups, facilities were clean & modern - all in all a wonderful day out from start to finish - but we'd have loved to be giving Stockeld Park money for fries over the golden arches on the way home ☺️

Absolutely amazing place went for the first time last week and what a great hidden gem. So much fun to have not only for kids but the big kids (adults) too. So much to do from go karts to train ride to the enchanted forest and the playhive is one of the best and well planned and designed play gyms I've ever been to. I've been telling all my family and friends about it. Can't wait to go again at some point

This review is specifically about the Christmas illusions and Grotto. We have been 5 times/years now and it just keeps getting better. When we first started going we were blown away with the displays and the grotto. The facilities are very good and food prices are very reasonable. The site is always immaculate and tended to regularly. We have a daughter who is a wheelchair user. The early years were a little tricky as the main paths were originally gravel track but they have tarmacked the whole pathway except for a few off-shoots but even those are still accessible for her wheelchair. Santa's Grotto is great, we had 3 children who all got to see santa and get a gift for around £28. We were not rushed at all he made us all laugh and we got to take photos with him. They took a photo from the Grottos camera too and you can take a QR code to take the photo home. The walk can easily take an hour and a half if you want to see everything and enjoy it. There are 2 restraunts but only one is open during week nights with other opening weekends. I would personally recommend a week night as the weekends seem quite a bit busier. The kids were in awe at the displays and I must admit I was too. There is a small train and carriages that does a little tour around the site. Staff are incredibly friendly and willing to help. It's become an annual event for us and we hope to keep going for many years.

We've just spent a whole day at Stockeld Park. We arrived at 10 am. We met up with a few families and started off with the Maze. We then walked along the woodland trail, stopping along the way at the various play areas. We then stopped for coffee and snacks in the cafe. After this, we went to the ice rink next door. The ice ring is an extra payment, but once you've paid, you can go back as many times as you want during your visit. They provide the skates (obviously) there are helmets, knee, and elbow pads if you wish to use them. There are also balance aids for an extra payment as well. We then followed this with a trip to the hive for the children to enjoy the activities. This one also is an extra payment. From there, back to the cafe and then another walk through the woodland area. By now, darkness had fallen and we enjoyed the beautiful lights. At the small lake that had a fountain and a five minute light show of Mythical Creatures. Absolutely fabulous display. We continued on the walk, stopping once again at the play areas that were accessible. A quick stop for a hot chocolate along the way and we were off again. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by the children and adults. They also had a Santa experience here. A family friend had booked for this. They were really impressed with the experience. There is also a train ride which goes through the woodland area. There's an extra payment for this ride as well if you fancied it. We didnt go on this today. We found the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We all had a great day and would definitely go back for a visit.

This place is brilliant for a family day out! Always lots to do and see with extra seasonal events too. The indoor play area is incredibly impressive and the 90minute slots help both parents and kids alike. The cafe has particularly good pizza and speedy service. The outdoor area is huge and has plenty for everyone - my particular favourites were the put stops for coffee dotted around. We will definitely be coming back!
